Questions and answers

Answers to the questions we hear most often about treatment, admission, confidentiality and cost.

Is treatment confidential?

Yes. Your personal and medical information stays with the treating team. The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 gives every person receiving mental health care the right to confidentiality.

Are you open at night and on holidays?

Yes. The centre is open 24 hours, every day of the year, for admissions and emergencies. Outpatient consultations are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please call +91 90727 72776 before coming so the team is ready.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can call or walk in directly.

Can I visit before admitting a family member?

Yes. Please call to arrange a visit.

How long does treatment take?

It depends on the person and the problem. De-addiction usually involves an inpatient stay of a few weeks followed by regular follow-up. The doctor explains the plan after assessment.

Will the patient be kept here against their will?

Most people are admitted by their own choice as independent patients and can ask to be discharged. Admission with support, for a person who cannot make treatment decisions at that time, is only possible under the strict conditions of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017.

What happens after discharge?

Every patient leaves with a relapse prevention plan and dates for follow-up reviews. Families are told which warning signs to watch for and when to call.

How much does treatment cost?

Costs depend on the treatment plan and length of stay. Please call us and we will explain.

Which languages do you speak?

Malayalam and English.

What is hypnotherapy, and is it safe?

Clinical hypnotherapy is guided, focused relaxation used to work on anxiety, stress and habits. The person stays aware and in control. At the centre it is used alongside medical care, never instead of it. Read our article on hypnotherapy.

How do I reach the centre?
